L.L.Bean will no longer charge shipping fees

L.L.Bean follows Zappos and a few other retailers by dropping shipping charges on everything at their online store, no minimum purchase required

L.L Bean says the offer applies to standard 2- to 5-day shipping via UPS to customers in the U.S. and Canada. Two-day shipping remains an option for $15.

Previously, free shipping was only available to customers with an L.L. Bean credit card. Those card holders will continue to get free monogramming, free returns and points earned toward future Bean purchases.

L.L. Bean is announcing the free shipping in an e-mail blast to customers and will follow up with a television campaign.
