Kohl’s Stores Open Around the Clock for First Time Ever from December 20 through Christmas Eve

MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis., December 5, 2013 – Kohl’s Department Stores (NYSE: KSS) today announced that for the first time ever, it will keep its doors open for more than 100 hours straight – beginning at 6 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 20 through 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve, Tuesday, Dec. 24.

“The holiday season is an eventful time for families, and Kohl’s is making it easy for shoppers to wrap up their last- minute gift giving with 24-hour access to Kohl’s stores right up to Christmas Eve,” said Michelle Gass, Kohl’s chief customer officer. “Not only does Kohl’s have the hottest gifts at incredible prices, now shoppers will have the added benefit of being able to check off their lists, day or night, whenever it is most convenient for them.”

1. Will you be going shopping in the middle of the night?
Yes, I love shopping when the stores are less busy!
No, I prefer to be in my bed and dreaming of sugarplums!

I actually really like this idea. I work graveyard shift for me this means not altering my schedule to go shopping. I also hate crowded stores and enjoy grocery shopping currently at odd hours, why not retail stores -- especially for holiday shopping. This might just get me in store rather than online shopping, also great for last minute forgotten items.

I do that at my local Meijer, it's relaxing and peaceful.

I work days, so this type of store opening is perfect for my schedule.

I'm generally a night person, so this is sooo cool!
It would be fun to go shopping late with your friends, then go to Denny's, then have a slumber party! Big Grin

Love this. There are a few nights a week where I don't get off of work until after midnight, and I'm still wide awake. My only choices have been Walgreens and Walmart. Hopefully Kohl's doesn't get the sort of characters Walmart has late at night (which is why I don't go).
