Junk FaceBook account?

submitted on December 31, 2009 by equipurple in "Member's Lounge"
I use junk email addresses liberally, so I keep all the shopping, marketing, promotions, offers and junk out of my regular email. With all the special offers coming for FaceBook friending, am I going to have to set up a Junk FaceBook account to do the same thing there?
Has anyone already done so?

You don't have to reveal much about yourself, or even put up your own photo. Try it out, it's pretty fun. In fact, so is Twitter, and a lot of companies are there, too. Our accounts belong to the dogs, since they have fairly human-sounding names. And on the Internet, nobody knows if your a dog, right? Wink
(The only thing is, we have to be sure they're not ordering any stuff from Petsmart.com when we're not home!)

I have actually thought about that as well. I become fans of things I really don't have much interest in but there's a freebie of course. The time may come very soon for a fake facebook account Big Grin

We've had ours for maybe 4 years, you can keep all your info private if you want. We follow IMAX and stuff like that. In a hurricane-prone area, following the weather-related accounts and local news media has been a great help.
