Is The Limited "retiring" their eloquii line?

submitted on July 9, 2013 by HouTex in "Stores / Merchants"
Based on this deal and a hint in a recent article on 6/27/13 about full-figure fashions , it makes me think that the final sale discounts being offered at eloquii may be nearing the end of the brand. It was launched online in late 2011 and offered in select locations. Kind of a surprise, if the plus-size apparel market is booming and "investors are increasingly interested in the growth potential," as the article states. Eeek

Is being overweight now out of fashion? Twisted

I hope the trend will reverse and all the stores that popped up to make money from plus-sized Americans will now go out of business (out of necessity of the product).

Thanks for the morning laugh Yan! They need more stores for petite sizes because I cannot find the right length. Smile

      LOL! Smile
Now you don't REALLY mean that, do you?

Imagine...A world without fast-food restaurants, NO TWINKIES & none of those awesome "legal speed" diet pills.
Also, no fat people running around everywhere in too-tight clothing because there aren't any businesses to accomodate them.

    Eloquii is back

In its first iteration under The Limited, ELOQUII became a successful plus-size fashion brand with a loyal and vocal consumer audience. Despite early success and rapid month after month growth since the 2011 launch, The Limited closed the division in early 2013 as a result of corporate restructuring.

The company did not foresee what would happen next: dozens of influential fashion bloggers and loyal customers took to digital and social media to express their loss of a favorite fashion resource, demanding ELOQUII’s return.
