IRS asks airlines to refund tax on tickets

If you made any travel plans via AIR recently - this might be useful.

Passengers who bought plane tickets before the airlines had to stop collecting U.S. ticket taxes for travel on Saturday may be entitled to a refund of the taxes they paid.

JetBlue posted a note on its website telling passengers it would provide refunds upon e-mail request for people traveling in the next seven days. It advised customers to check back later if they're traveling after that.

    Air passengers who bought plane tickets before the airlines had to stop collecting U.S. ticket taxes, for travel on or after July 23, may be entitled to a refund of tax paid.
