Incredible! Recycling of Old Typewriters Becomes Art

submitted on October 21, 2010 by HouTex in "Member's Lounge"
Jeremy Mayer’s sculptures are made from bits and pieces of old typewriters! It’s even more amazing when you find out that he did it without any gluing, welding or soldering - it’s all cold assembly.

This Palo Alto resident makes anatomically correct human and animal sculptures from typewriter components. Click on Typewriter Reassembly on his web site http://jeremymayer.com/2/Artis.....y=23SVCF6T to view his creations.

I see from the posted exhibits that some of these are on display at Ripley's Believe It or Not Museums. I'd love to see them on exhibit.

Those are really cool. It's amazing what some people can do with things we consider to be trash.
