I've been BANNED from a Major Site for CODING!

submitted on June 13, 2010 by deby32953 in "Member's Lounge", last updated on June 15, 2010 by YanBz
I used to love shopping at Onestopplus.com which I discoved a year ago when I unexpectely gained 39lbs. in 3 months & had to shop for +size clothing. I shopped & ordered for 6 family members (who are also now banned.) In Feb. I stopped receiving orders. I called & was tran. to FRAUD dept. I was told orders would no longer be filled since I was committing fraud! I ordered so much I was RESELLING their products! I quickly scanned & emailed them proof of my disablity along w/their own record of my returns. Then they admitted it was because of my CODING! They wanted to know where I found all the codes. I signed up on all the stores mailing lists & they all sent codes (not untrue.) They chose NOT to do business w/me no matter how much I argued. Not only w/Onestopplus but w/ALL the Redcat companies including: Avenue, Chadwicks Woman, Delta Burke, Jessica London, Roamans, Taillissime, Woman Within, ComfortView, Easy Spirit, Hush Puppies, Naturalizer, Reebok, Amoureuse, Glamorise, Baby Phat, Kenneth Cole, Calvin Klein, Liz Claiborne, KingSize, BrylaneHome, BCO,... They even deactivated $30 GC & free bra. I filed a report w/BBB & they said they could do nothing, to take it up w/legal council. I contacted the Advocacy Center for Persons w/Disabilities & ditto. No damages & companies can do business w/whomever they please.
After being diagnosed w/Hashimoto's Disease (autoimmune thyroiditis) in Jan. & being on meds, I'm no longer +size but it would be easy if 1 wanted to still shop, 1 could ask a willing friend to use their info. & address, create a BING account & use a Visa bought at a drug store.
I still shop for fun & they immediately cancel my orders. Wonder if BING knows this... Artistic

I understand you received some company correspondence that explained why you were banned. I am curious how exactly it words out the reason(s).

No, never received any correspondence at all! Just what 1 man said over the phone. the manager at OSP felt I took advantage of codes & they were losing money. They wanted to know how I found all the dif. codes for all dif. Redcat stores. Like the freebies from Roamans & Womanwithin, etc. Also, they always ask at checkout if you'd like 20% off 4 items shown. I learned if you look at the item & don't buy it, they'll keep showing you more till maybe what you want shows up. Then you can get it 20% off & add your 50% off code to that, etc. Tricks of the homeshopper trade. Also, finding the cheapest thing on the site to get the freebies & using the $2.99 shipping which I get reimbursed through Freeshipping.com. I go through BING which gives 15% back on price BEFORE discounts so order is next to free. Each major co. would usually have $10 off $10 or $15 off $15 specials some w/no limit which I might've taken advantage of. Cool

I am really trying to help. If you had received an official email then there would be hope for you for some legal recourse. The way you explain it however the case is moot. I am no legal expect however so take it for what one man's opinion is worth

No official email, no email at all. I emailed asking them over & over but got no response at all. When I play-place orders now they send an apologetic email saying they couldn't fill my order but here's a code for 20% off your next order w/free shipping! Can you believe that? I'll find one & post it.

lbSubCat: Why Isn't My Order Appearing Online?
Comments: When I tried to cancel my Redcats credit cards last night since I was told OSP would no longer accept my orders since they thought I was reselling merchandise, Brylane Home contacted OSP since they said it was a ridiculous accusation. They said OSP had contacted them and they said my account was in excellent standing. Brlane Home said that OSP had reversed its decision and that I could now resume ordering from you again. If that is true, why are none of my orders going through or even showing up online? All I want to do is spend my money and can't understand why you won't take it. Please let me know is OSP is or is not going to allow me to do business w/them or any of its companies so I know whether or not to cancel my credit cards or not. Debra Rosario

At some point I was told it was Redcats who didn't want to do business w/me so I emailed them on 3/9/10 & this was the response:

    Ref:454-321-4696

Thank you for your recent inquiry to our Sales and Services Department. World Financial Network National Bank issues your account and responds to all credit related inquiries.
We do apologize however we show no reason as to why the card would not be accepted. We show a line of credit of $750.00 and a credit balance on the account at this time of $226.56. We are not stopping the card. You may want to call Onestopplus.com directly at 1-800-400-4481 to see if they may further assist you. We hope this information is helpful. For the security of your account information, we ask if there are any follow up or further questions you have related to this concern, that you submit them by logging into your account and utilize the “Contact Us” link.

    Deb,

I understand you are having problems, but do you think it is wise to post so much information about yourself. In the past few weeks, I have seen your full name, email, full address and phone number.

You should really be more careful, with what you post in public.

I don't worry about my name, I don't use my married name online. My email address is one I use online, not personal. Where have you seen my address? Phone # is not home but cell which is somewhere around here, probably dead. I will be more careful though. Just trying to fit it but noone looked or voted just like my deals. I post a dozen Crocs' coupons that barely gets a stir, someone posts 1 Croc's coupon I couldn't fit in my deal & their's is soaring. I'll probably stop submitting & just use BUXR for codes. That's what the Powerusers & admin want. All I get is critism & threats. I'll never understand how 1 free diaper or 1/2 oz lotion sample wins contests.

I see now. 2 weeks ago (1 time) I carelessly left my address in a validation receipt from Penny's. Won't happen again. Next time I'll put the phone no. that I used to give out when I was dating, to the local police station. Big Grin
