It should work no matter what device you are using, because the image is stored at Gravatar and linked to your email address.
1. Go to http://en.gravatar.com/ and sign up with the exact same email you are using on Buxr. (case-sensitive)
2. Upload an image and activate an avatar, making sure you give your avatar a 'G' rating on Gravatar.com. (Avatars rated differently will not show up on Buxr)
Do you get any error message? Is it a large image? It may take longer to upload it. Try using an image from the Internet instead. Has anyone else had a problem uploading images from iPad?
That's very strange. The only idea I have is that Gravatar uses Flash for file upload, and iPad (as well as other Apple products) doesn't support Adobe Flash. In that case, your only option is to use a different computer that is not made by Apple.
Here is another idea, is any other option available on that page? You could upload your avatar to say Flickr and then select "an image on the Internet" to paste the URL
I tried but fail to put avatar. I tried with my computer as well. Did exactly same as mentioned by admins but... Is there any way I can just choose an image and link it as we do in comments.
Or can I change my email I'd I linked to Buxr, I am thinking may be my present I'd not connecting properly. But i am using same I'd which is linked to PayPal, will changing email I'd affect that too.
Here is a tip that helped some members in the past. Make sure that the email you signed up with at Gravatar and Buxr matches exactly, including the caps of each character. Say if your email starts with a capital letter on Gravatar then it has to start with a capital letter on Buxr as well.
I can see the avatar in your profile just fine, not in the comments though. I think it will appear there later after the change gets propagated to all of the gravatar servers
I am having trouble too. My email address is all in lower case (same as in buxr), image has G rating, and is a very small < 100 KB size jpg image. Gravitar indicates that the link to my profile is http://gravatar.com/xxxxx where xxxxx is the user name I created for Gravatar and not my email address.
