submitted on April 16, 2016 by YanBz in "Member's Lounge"
Just listened to a great podcast from NPR's Planet Money called "Anatomy of Scam". They have done some excellent coverage of how "Work from Home" scammers get you on the money. Highly recommend to anyone curious about this stuff!

You've seen these ads before: "Work from home. Make thousands of dollars a week. Call this number!" Today on the show, we find out what happens when you respond. It's the story of a scam that will not die. We have secret documents laying out how it all works. And recordings of actual phone calls.

If it sounds too good its really no good especially if they want money to get you started and with the 30 day money back guarantee they hope you forget and the time lapses.

I don't think they ever hope to get your monthly payments. They initial $5K is all they after. They amount is highly customized based on how much money they feel you can part with.
