Honda recalls 250K vehicles for brake problems (Poll)

submitted on March 14, 2013 by YanBz in "Products / Gadgets"
Was driving home today (on my Honda Smile ) and heard on the radio that Honda recalls almost 250K cars worldwide (180K in the US) because of problems with brakes. These models are included:

- 2005 Pilot
- 2005 Acura RL
- 2006 Acura MDX

The brakes on these cars can engage by themselves w/o you pushing the pedal - sounds very scary if you ask me!

To fix the problem, Honda dealers will install a new electrical part at no charge and, in some the vehicles, inspect an electrical grounding bolt. Vehicles owners will be notified by mail in mid-April or, in the meantime, owners can find out for certain if their vehicle is involved by going to the Web site or or by calling (800) 999-1009 for Honda owners or (800) 382-2238 for Acura owners.
