Harry & David Will File for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Permalink

Harry & David Holdings Inc., the specialty gourmet fruit retailer known for its wonderful gift baskets and popular Moose Munch snacks, is preparing to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in a Delaware court as soon as tomorrow morning, 3/28/11. Although it hoped for better, the company had a weak holiday sales season, and their gross profit fell 20.6 percent for the quarter ending Dec. 25, 2010.

    That's sad! I hope this isn't the end for them! I love their Moose Munch!

    I really hope that they will keep their products in circulation. If not, I'll miss the gift basket I get from my boss every year for the holidays. Sad
