To any & all administration people working hard today, Happy Administrative Professionals Day! A day of celebrating & acknowledgement to all those who get our day going at the office. The event formerly known as National Secretaries Day started in 1952 in the hopes that secretaries would have a "rosy" future. Although this April event is Administrative Professionals Week, the middle day of the week, Wednesday, has always been favored by employers to send the admin staff flowers and treat them to long extended lunches as a token of appreciation for all they do to keep the company going.
Remembering back 25 yrs ago, there use to be typewriter toss competitions and statewide typing competitions. The typewriter toss competition was widely known in Springfield, MO by dropping a typewriter on a bullseye. Since those administrative days, now enjoying Boss' Day.
