Guide to the Secret Menu at Starbucks and Other Restaurants (Poll)

submitted on May 5, 2014 by HouTex in "Stores / Merchants"
Ever had a Chocolate Dalmatian, Cookie Dough Frappucino, Captain Crunch Frappucino, or a Bootleg Brulée? I heard on the news today that customers at Starbucks and other restaurants are able to order special items off the menu. So I though I would check it out, for the benefit of the Buxr members who love Starbucks. Seems that this has been going on for a while, one list was first published online in 2011 and updated to include 25 creations - . Or check out the 35 drinks described here -

Lots more recipes are posted on

According to there are lots more off-menu items for the asking, like
a Patty Melt at Five Guys - ;
a Burritodilla at Chipotle - ; or
a Chicken McGriddle, the most famous secret menu item at McDonald's - .
Some of these may not be available at all locations.

- -

 Never heard of them.

    What a great topic! I love the secret Starbucks menu! They even create former items at your request. Just the other day, I asked for a Iced Spiced Apple Chai, so good.

    The McDonald's stuff and Five Guys stuff looks yummy too, especially the 10:35

    I've never heard of "secret menus". The Patty Melt at Five Guys looks good, but I'm willing to bet if I walked in to a Five Guys and ordered a Patty Melt, I'd be met with blank stares. I'm sure hourly workers are not trained to make "secret" items. It even says on all the Hack the Menu secret menu items that they have to be ordered a certain way. For example, with the Five Guys Patty Melt, I have to order a grilled cheese, tell them to add a burger and onions, and make sure they grill the bread like a grilled cheese. To me that is not a secret, it is a menu modification.
