Getting the Image Right on Your Deals

submitted on January 20, 2011 by HouTex in "Buxr Website / Contests"
Are you getting the best images for your deals? Or are they missing when you reach the last step to verify your submission? Usually Buxr can automatically pull the most likely photo images and offer a selection for you to pick from. But sometimes nothing suitable appears among the choices.

Here are a few cases when Buxr usually fails to get the image right:
1. the image is in a flash animation
2. the image is a coupon file upload
3. the image is a link other than the merchant's home page

When that happens, you can still add the right picture manually, by googling the product or store and choosing the appropriate image or logo.

The Buxr wiki at http://www.buxr.com/wiki/rules.....mage_right offers the steps to capture an image URL from Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Internet Explorer. Once you find an image you like, you can go back to the image URL field on the Details page (Step 2) of the deal submission form, and insert it there.

Another great place to get logos is from www.brandsoftheworld.com

Free to download/grab and they have a large majority of the logos you might need.

When googling, if you'll go to Google images first, then google, you should see what you're looking for right away.

Also, check the merchant drop down box and look for the merchant in question. At times, if you submit say, a coupon, the merchant will be listed but it won't pick up the logo on the coupon you submitted.
