submitted on June 25, 2010 by HouTex in "Sales / Promotions"
The new Grilled Cheese Burger Melt introduced by Friendly's is going to make the 540-calorie KFC Double Down look like diet food!

Here's a comparison:
Friendly's Grilled Cheese Burger Melt squeezes a giant beef patty with lettuce and tomato between two (yes, TWO) grilled cheese sandwiches. In addition to 1500 calories, the artery-clogging extravaganza has 79 grams of fat, 38 grams of saturated fat, 180 grams of cholesterol, 101 grams of carbohydrates and 2,090 milligrams of sodium.
(That's without a side of fries! You oughta see the nutritional value of those with 500-900 calories, or shakes with over 700 calories - )
The 540-calorie KFC Double Down has 32 grams of fat and only 1380 milligrams of sodium.

In case you missed the full details, there's more about it in this topic -

See if you're at risk from temptation -
Actually, if you have any will power, Friendly's restaurants do offer other healthy alternatives in a broad range of food and drink choices, post nutritional information, and are trans-fat free.
1. Would you order the new Grilled Cheese Burger Melt?
 No Way!
Well, OK...If I split it with somebody, and it will only be half bad!
2. Do you think this idea sounds....?
3. Would you order fries and a shake to go with it?
 No, I'm on a diet.
I can eat whatever I want.
 May as well die happy!
