Friendly's, the iconic Massachusetts-based ice cream and restaurant chain abruptly closed 60 locations today as it filed for bankruptcy. 424 locations remain open. Gift certificates and gift cards will still be honored.

Bummer! They closed the one by UCF which I considered to be a busy restaurant what with all of the college students. It is however on restaurant row with much competition.
