Submitting Freebies

submitted on January 8, 2014 by djhciskoski in "Buxr Website / Contests"
Ok, I get that freebies never expire, but how do I look those up to make sure I am not duplicating a deal? I have looked at the "freebies" and I have searched a name of a product and found nothing - JIFFY - so I did not know it was already posted. Is there another way aside from:

Thanks!

Yes, the Tropical Breeze Fragrance was posted a very long time ago,
      http://www.buxr.com/deal/free-.....-him_36502
The previous link is directly to the form, but it's the same offer. A lot of freebies like this are old and have been circulating on the Internet for years. If you are wondering about an offer, you can ask about it through the feedback link before posting. I guess the really old ones are hard to find with the Buxr search function.

I never found the search funtion to be case-sensitive before today, but with the Jiffy recipe book it certainly seems to be. I will ask Yan about it. I found the old deal using "recipe" but in testing further I tried "jiffy" and "Jiffy" without success. The deal did turn up when I searched "JIFFY" (as the deal was posted in all caps), but I would never have guessed that.

there is definitely a problem with the search feature and it being case-sensitive. i wanted to submit a sally beauty deal and when i searched using all lower case it showed no deals/coupons, but then there are SEVERAL deals/coupons available. maybe it depends on where you are using the search feature on the site. on the main page it seems to work fine.

Another option is to search by store name, if the deal was properly linked to the merchant. I also never seem to have any problem searching coupon code text.

Another search strategy that works for me is to search several times with different single words that I think would be part of the previous deal. I find that using several terms in the same search yields no result, so the more simple search works best for me.

Can you post the direct link the feedback link? Or do I just start it in discussions under product?

Here is the direct link to feedback form:
      http://www.buxr.com/feedback

The link is at the bottom of every page. Make sure to select 'Deal Submission' as the reason for feedback.
