Free Morningstar Premium access through your library

submitted on October 19, 2010 by YanBz in "Sales / Promotions"
I just found out that many libraries offer access to and other paid research sources (like genealogy banks) free for their members.

I use once a year when choosing the funds for my annual IRA contribution. The premium access has a lot more information including Analyst Research of the funds in their database and advanced search / filtering tools.

The membership is normally $19.95 per month or $179 per year but you may be able to get it free through your library if they offer it (mine does). You can access from your home computer and to get through just need to enter your library card (at least this is how it works with my library).

Did you use before? Does your library offer free premium access?

After reading this topic, I checked out the resources for the Houston Public Library and found that they offer free Morningstar access as well, when you enter your last name and (free) library card number online. They also offer if you are in the library locations. I never would have known about it otherwise Big Grin and have not used it before.
