The National Weather Service has a mobile site at http://mobile.weather.gov/ ,
and The Weather Channel is posting updates on Twitter - https://twitter.com/#!/TWCBreaking .

I know many of us are concerned about family and friends, and want to know what is happening.
But sometimes after the first landfall, stations go back to their regular programming and it's hard to get information on TV in areas of the country not directly affected by the storm.
