I don't know why this offer bothers me - my step dad was a veteran and the last few years of his life he was in a veteran nursing home and so was my Mom until she passed a month ago. I know that many vets can use this but it still bugs me that this is there way of honoring the vets.

I agree w/you sandy. They're a huge corp. Seems like they could do a bit more than some canes for older vets.

Am I the only one who sees a flaw in their logic or supposed goal here?

If they need mobility assistance, and you really care, then why are you making them come to the store?

Oh wait... its really a marketing public relations ploy!

Well, I see another flaw and it's what bothers me more. We as a country should make sure our vets already have the things they need for mobility in the first place. I'm still trying to figure out if we do or don't support those services in the first place. Although I've had enough of dealing with the VA as of late -- this bugs me so I may need to find out.
