submitted on April 20, 2015 by mdshopper1 in "Member's Lounge"
Just thought I would make a thread to include all of the latest food recalls for 2015 so that they are all in one thread.

The latest is Blue Bell Creamery

Blue Bell Creameries Pulls All of Its Products After Ice Cream Listeria Scare.
The recall extends to retail outlets in 23 states and internationally.

This is so sad, for a company that has an otherwise unblemished record for more than 100 years. I sincerely hope they can fix this problem for all of us who love it, the 400+ employees in Brenham, TX, and anyone affected by their recall. The Washington County Chamber of Commerce sent out fliers to approximately 700 local members offering support to Blue Bell employees - http://www.khou.com/story/mone...../26122539/

This is the email message sent from the CEO - http://www.bluebell.com/email/4.2015/default.aspx
We’re committed to doing the 100 percent right thing, and the best way to do that is to take all of our products off the market until we are confident that they are all safe.

I love Blue Bell Ice Cream. It's a staple in my freezer. It was good to see them recall all products after this scare as a precaution since I heard it was only 1 pint in question.

That said, I have a new brand of ice cream in my freezer this week and probably for a while. Still good... but not the same. Sad

One of the Teachers that I used to work with posted that her daughter has been sick with stomach problems the past week and that she eats this brand often
