Firefox 4 Got You Down? Speed it up...Again! (Poll)

submitted on May 3, 2011 by shawndiaz in "Products / Gadgets"
I have said this before, but it always need a refresher (especially for all of our new Buxr members). If you use Firefox, you undoubtedly know that it can be slow and it takes pages a long time to load. Well, have no fear! There is a (yet another) way to get it to speed up for you. The team @ Help Desk Geek have put together a nice step-by-step procedure to follow and get it to speed up for you.
Firefox is a very flexible and powerful web browser. It’s also open source, free, and speedy, most of the time. However, there may be times when it doesn’t seem as fast as it should be. This post will show you four preferences you can easily change to speed up Firefox. We also provide links to the MozillaZine Knowledge Base so you can read about each preference to learn more about its purpose.

My Google Chrome lately makes me bang my head against my computer desk. I don't know what happened but it takes so long to load. I downloaded Firefox 4 and no problems. I only use Internet Explorer when I need to view my pay-stub from school.

I usually try to clear it once a week or so. It doesn't help. I think it might be the "Beta."

I guess I just like the speed of Chrome, though I do like Firefox. I have noticed that loading many extensions in Firefox will slow it down tremendously.
