Learning about Buxr Deal Alerts
submitted 328 days ago by equipurple in "Buxr Website / Contests"
I changed the the title of this topic once I realized that the feature I was looking for was already here!
I am in the process of shopping for (read: waiting for a great deal on) a bluetooth headset. Frequently there are deals out there for a low end Samsung WEPxx bluetooth free after rebate, or others that are a few dollars after rebate. In this case, the model itself is less important to me than getting a few cheap bluetooths (blueteeth?). It would be valuable to me to look at a tag-based--not product-based--wish list to see if anyone has posted any devices in the category to ease my daily search.
Same thing when, for example, looking for a laptop. I might have some specific specs in mind (processor level, RAM, storage, screen size) as well as some preferred makes. So it makes sense to me to look at a tag-wishlist of laptops to see what has been posted.
Now some of this flies in the face of Yan's post about quality over price, but I prefer to think of it as a different way of shopping. Is there a deal out there that entices me? Once I see it, I can determine more about the make and model and quality/price relationship.
Can I just search deals for "bluetooth" or "vacuum cleaner" or "Plasma TV?" I can, but a tag-based wish list might make Buxr more user-friendly for me.
The tag-wishlist should also have an expiration. I assume that within two or three weeks I will have ordered my blueteeth.
Please offer your comments and opinions on this idea, and feel free to gently ridicule me if you must.
