My Dad is the greatest. Unfortunately, he is one of the hardest people to shop for. He always treats himself to everything he wants.

Unfortunately my dad passed away when i was 10. But i do like to spoil my hubby. I always make him a meal...lasagna, or a cookout with the kids. I never shop without a discount. Big Grin This year he needs a new wheelbarrow, so i found a deal at my local supermarket, buy a $100 Lowe's giftcard get $20 to shop at Shaw's. Not a bad deal. This way he can pick out the wheelbarrow he likes, and i get an extra $20 at the supermarket. Win win.

I want to buy a Visa gift. I read in the blog that American Express is giving 5% discount when you buy their gift card. But I want some deal on Visa gift card. Please help me if any body is aware of such deal.

I was in Walgreens yesterday and the man in front of me was buying a $100 Visa gift card for his Dad and was surprised to find (and so was I) that it comes with a $4.99 fee that you have to pay just for buying it

It seems that they are all charging a processing or activation fee for the Visa gift card, from $2.50-$5.95 here, and it may vary from state to state.
This link helps to find a location selling them -
Here they are sold at all the drug store chains, some grocery stores, banks, gas stations, check cashing stores, and even OfficeMax. So far I have not found any deals. Sad
