Changes in deal submissions

submitted on May 8, 2014 by djhciskoski in "Buxr Website / Contests"
While I have NO problem with people changing my deal submission, is there a way to see exactly what changes were made? I never remember how I originally post a deal and sometimes I see someone has gone in a deal to "update" it. The reason I would like to know what changes are made is so I can get better and more accurate at posting.
FYI, if someone changes my submissions, feel free to let me know, in the comments, the changes you made! Mr Green

Well, I made changes on your Yankee deal.
I choose direct website link as URL as it would be convienent for shoppers and change the image.
    See here http://www.buxr.com/examine/156855
See at the end of deal title small lines and yellow pen. When you click on small lines it will show how you posted and anyone made any changes.

You should be able to see everything, there is a separate line with the member's Buxr name followed by the change for each modification. If you don't see any difference (for example in the description) it may have been spacing or formatting only. Otherwise, every change is listed.
Even deactivation and other changes to make bad links work will appear in the list on every deal.

Ok, I get that. Would you have done that if I had not posted the printable coupon in the comments? I never know when to post the printable at the link or the comments! If I have the email, I try to post that at deal URL.
    Thanks for the help bemicmom.

Exactly right. Here is how we post the coupon deals:
    * If it's online + in-store, we post the direct website for shoppers' convenience at the deal link with the printable in-store coupon in the comments (as bemicmom described). We also put "printable in comments" in the Instructions block so visitors who search the coupons will know there's a printable and where to find it. (the view is different)
    * If it's in-store only, we post the coupon at the deal link and maybe a store locator in comments.

When you have a deal that was announced in Facebook but has a direct link, place the offer URL at the deal link and add the facebook announcement or other supporting link in comments. That will help avoid limiting the deal to users who have facebook accounts, because the offer is actually open to everyone.

Hope this helps, and is not more confusing!

I do want to add that the email is valuable to show the exact offer, and if it is clickable and does not have the submitter's email address in the link, that is a good deal URL to use.

I am going to be adding a new dedicated entry to the deal submission pages for the link to in-store coupon (when you choose online/in-store availability). This way there should be no confusion where to put the links.
