Buxr Rules

submitted on July 16, 2009 by mooncow728 in "Buxr Website / Contests"
I am a little confused on the rules of the site. I'm wondering what types of items are prohibited from being posted, website themes that coupon codes should not come from or if there are any restrictions. Also I know about the 10 state rule for a deal but what are some other things to keep in mind when posting a deal? Any extra info on this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!!

i know you can't post porn. there are codes from other sites you aren't allowed to use but that hasn't been made public knowledge and right now the list is short.

Weapons are allowed to be posted (guns) but they'll earn you a couple negs (know that from past experience) Big Grin

Not sure what other rules you are asking about specifically.

Great question. Just use your best judgment for a deal. Try to stick with reputable merchants and you shouldn't have any problems. Somethings we judge on a case by case basis.. So if you have any questions, you can just drop us an email.

Outside of "inappropriate" material, nothing is truly prohibited, with "inappropriate" most likely consisting of drug paraphernalia and obscene adult material as basic guidelines.

Even with that, some things that someone might deem inappropriate have been allowed.
(Not saying I approved or disapproved of these, just some ready examples.)

However, having been here a long time, there are two types of posts that seem to generate a negative response in general from the Buxr community, although not necessarily all members.

    1. Religious themed posts or those connected to a religious driven organization.
    2. Guns and Ammunition (Knives and swords seem to do just fine.)

The best advice is just to watch and see what creates a negative response over time, and then avoid those posts if you want, or you could always try to be on the vanguard of breaking down those barriers, but always at your own risk or incurring a "Worst Deal of the Day".
