Unhappy with Borders service

I ordered the DVD "Planet Earth" through the website and received a conformation by email that the item was back ordered but would be shipped shortly.

This was done on Dec 1, 2008. After checking the Borders website frequently and being assured that it was "in process" I finally called Borders at 800.770.7811 and was told the item would not be "fulfilled" I still had a hold on my credit card for the amount and it had not been released. The customer service rep said "Do you want me to release your credit card?" DUH, if you are not going to ship then yes.
This is very poor customer service from Borders and I would be reluctant to recommend them to anyone.
