Blacklisted Websites? Which Ones? Permalink

It would be nice to have a list of blacklisted URLs. I tried to submit a coupon for TGI Friday's but the domain is blacklisted.

Is there a possibility of having a list of those sites that are blacklisted?

    If it helps...

    So long as you link to the actual site website URL, Buxr won't let you submit an item from there, and it will block you during the submission process.

    We had been contacted by TGI Friday's attorneys in the past and they demanded that we no longer publish their trademarks on our site. This is the reason the site is blacklisted. All other sites in the blacklist are those that don't satisfy the criteria we set for merchants that can be listed on Buxr. These are either resellers, spam & phishing sites, little known local shops, off shore stores, etc. The list is VERY long and full of domains you never saw in your life, and so I don't see much value in publishing it. Just try to follow common sense (TGIF is an exception) and you will be OK

      TGIF is not very wise to refuse us Buxrites. Guess I won't be eating there any time soon.

      I've not eaten there since the banishment.

      Coupons dictate where I go out to dinner about 90% of the time.

      My wife may not be a cheap date, but I am. Smile

    Some blacklisted URL's cannot even be submitted. Is there a way to prevent the URL containing the coupon to not be allowed?

    That would be impossible to do since these coupons come in variety of format and often contain image files that have to be analyzed. You are basically asking to solve the problem of artificial intelligence. Smile

    Heads up to everyone. TGI Friday's is temporarily off the black list. You can submit the deals but please do not use their logo. I think this is what made them unhappy last time.

    GFriday's has improved their service over the past year probably because people stopped going there.

    The shopping center where I live has TGI Friday's, Smokey Bones, Ale House, Red Lobster, Long Horn Steakhouse, Macaroni Grill, Friendly Confines Sports Restaurant and a few others. They have to stay competitive.
