Black Friday's Dirty Little Secrets

Black Friday bargain hunters beware. There's a good chance you won't score that doorbuster deal you've set your heart on.

Retail experts say the annual hype and hoopla that surrounds Black Friday also masks some nasty surprises.

The most painful: The crushed hopes of hundreds of midnight shoppers, who camped outside for hours in the cold hoping to score a 40-inch LCD HDTV for under $500, only to later learn that the store had four in stock.

I see companies doing that a lot. I hate to admit that I did this but last year there was a particular portable hard drive that I wanted to get at Target so I purposely slightly hid one behind some other items in the same aisle. Low and behold it was still there Black Friday. I happened to get back there quick enough though to have found more in the original spot on the shelf though. I guess if you want something bad enough trying to find a spot in the store to hide it may not be a bad idea. Some items of course you can't do that with.

Lol, I tried hiding something a few years ago at Target but I think they must have caught it on the security camera cause when I went back the next day for it, it was gone!

I really don't miss shopping in stores. Haven't done much in years. Too difficult having to use a scooter in over-crowded aisles, especially on BLACK FRIDAY but have to admit I've done the same in the past. I think we all have but in my case it was w/toys. Never worked for me.

It's crazy now on black friday, you have to be there at 10:00 p.m.. I used to sahow up at 5 a.m. and be one of yhe first in line, not any more. I don't do black friday any more, it's just crazy. FYI...walmart stocks more electronic sale items than best buy or staples.
