Typically Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving but due to a slow economy amongst other factors, Black Friday sales started today.
Starting today, Sears is offering doorbuster deals every Friday and Saturday until Christmas.
The retailer is also extended layaway this year, both online and in store, giving shoppers 12 weeks to pay for purchases.
Target is launching a 4-day sale starting Sunday, November 21st.
It will feature more than 170 items that will not be included in their Black Friday sale.
Coupons will be available in the Sunday circular to offer even more savings.
Kohl's will be running four different pre-Black Friday sales between November 5th and November 20th. Highlights include a November 17th "Secret Sale" where an additional 15-30% will be taken off everything in store and online. Kohl's Cash program, where you get a $10 gift-card for every $50 spent, is also coming back.
J.C.Penney will have four pre-Black Friday Sales on November 6th, 17th, 20th and 24th.
Amazon.com will begin offering sales this week.
Walmart.com will have some big discounts sometime in early November. It will offer up to 30% off 200 items each week.
And Staples.com will offer discounts of more than 50% on items like laptops, cameras and printers the Sunday through Wednesday before Thanksgiving.
