Target seems to have some of the best deals and often have more in stock. They also seem to have better "all day deals" then most stores!

It all depends on what you're looking for, as well. Specialty stores like Staples are great but not if you're looking for say, furniture Smile

Target always seems to have good prices on quality, stylish merchandise on Black Friday and every other day of the year.
I will always be a "Target person"! (I haven't shoppped at Wal-Mart, since my college days -- more than 15 years ago.)

My wife does a lot of shopping at kohls. I never got into the waiting in line for hours to save 100 bucks...Years ago I used to hit up staples, office max, office depot and comp usa with my mom. Come home with hundreds of dollars of stuff free after rebates. Now none of them seem worth it to me unless you wait in line for hours and hours to get that door buster. I'd rather go to work and pay full price later on then wait in the cold for hours.

I love to go to Macy's. The store just feels like Christmas. It's beautifully decorated, and (knock on wood) there's usually not too much craziness going on.

I have to agree. And if you have a Macy's card, you can join the free Macy's Star Rewards program and they'll send you lots of discount coupon passes that can be used online or multiple times in the store. When you apply for the Macy's card in the store, you also get an extra 15% off all your purchases for the first 2 days. In the past week alone, we've gotten 2 sets of 4 passes each for 20% off, $15 off $50 or $25 off $100, all valid through January 1, 2013. More than enough to combine with sales and save a bundle on holiday shopping!

usually the drug stores and ace hardware has some really good deals....most are freebies, w/ rebates...i know that cvs is having a pre holiday sale w/ lots of freebies that you get back in cvs bucks....ace usually has pretty good deals, not too many freebies this yr though...you have to be careful when buying electronics, etc. lots of the items are made just for black friday and are not the same quality, this was even told to me by a best buy employee last yr....

I get most of my stuff online, but try to do one round of the stores at a decent year. This year, target disappointed me some, Sears was good, and Best buy has some great DVD/BluRay deals. Amazon's rotating deals have some gems mixed with random dross.

Oh - and remember to support your local small businesses today and tomorrow - even if its only lunch at your neighborhood diner!

I love our Super Wal-Mart because of the many departments versus other stores. I can get Black Friday's shopping done while shopping for groceries and other stuff for the house all in one store.

Oh, and this year they had that special promo advertised on TV where if you are there between the hours of 10:00 p.m.-12:00a.m. Thanksgiving evening, you were guaranteed to get some Black Friday deals. So there was no waiting in line or first come, first serve B.S. That was nice. Smile

I used the 50% off deal for Gold Toe Socks, buy one get one free coupon at Macaroni Grill, purchased 2 entertainment books for $45 ($25 for the 1st book and $20 for additional). Cyber Monday has an even better deal on Entertainment books but it seems I could only get to the best deals via the membership email link or I would have posted the deal on Buxr. ($20 for 1st book and $15 for additional). Still tempted by good airfare rates at Southwest Airlines and the Roku $20 off discount. Day is not over yet. Smile

I definitely agree. I've been so excited in the past for Black Friday but wasn't as excited this year. I did some leisurely shopping at the mall (like at Ralph Lauren and Gap) and got some stuff there but I didn't spend half as much as I did last year.
