Offermatic - Better way to manage your daily deals ?  Permalink

submitted on April 5, 2011 by orangearrows in "Buxr Website / Contests", last updated 300 days ago by YanBz
I was hoping someone would come up with something like this. My Daily deal emails are taking over my INBOX.

Ask anyone who's ever been faced with an in-box full of daily deals - Groupons or otherwise: A lot of these deals will be far off the mark. Do I need a pedicure or another half-off coupon for a restaurant I've never gone to and probably never will?

Offermatic, a new website that makes such daily deal offers more targeted, tries to lessen the load on your email in-box by only offering money back on things you already buy. By registering your credit or debit card, Offermatic gets a history of what you're buying and gives you offers based on your purchasing history, and puts rebates directly back on your card when you use its offers.

I am reluctant to register my credit cards with a third party like Offermatic...

I rely solely on Buxr to alert me to the really hot deals, plus I check Groupon and LivingSocial once in a while for local deals in my area.

Buxr does not always list all the good Groupon / living social deals. I wish it would - but it does not. Plus if the deal is local - it would not be on BUXR. With the increasing local deals offered in my area - Groupon and LS send me multiple emails.

I agree with you on the CC info, but it's a novel idea if they can convince people that they are more secure. BTW.. you are registering your account and not the CC.

I have since removed my email address from the Daily Deal sites. They were cluttering up my inbox. I don't need them coming in because I can find the deals on Buxr! Big Grin

Don't you have to register one of your credit cards with Offermatic at step 1? Seems like a very important detail to omit... Evil

I'm with YanBz on the credit card on these sites. I'm not saying they're dishonest, but I don't think I should have to give them that access. Plus, there's always fine print.
