Someone was asking which e-book reader is the best. This New York Times article says both Sony Reader (the wireless model) and B&N Nook will not be available for the holidays. Amazon Kindle is your only choice if you need it by Christmas
Too bad. They got everyone stirred up and then weren't prepared to deliver enough product. Barnes & Noble says customers ordering a Nook will receive their devices the week of Jan. 4. So that stockings are not left completely empty, the bookseller will furnish buyers with a special holiday certificate, but I doubt that the recipients would appreciate that gesture on their part. Kinda takes the joy out of the gift-opening moment.
Expected delivery date of the Nook has been moved a week later to Jan. 11. Not good news for a Christmas gift purchase. Great news for Amazon and their Kindle.
I am still thinking about getting a Kindle...just wish it would go down in price. I was kind of hoping Amazon would have had a black friday sale on a Kindle.
