Bank of America's "Museum on Us" Program (Updated for 2012) Permalink

This topic has come up before, but I thought it was well worth a reminder since one of the dates you can take advantage of it comes this weekend. It's the first full weekend of every month. All you have to do is show a photo ID and your Bank of America ATM, credit or check card at over 150 museums, zoos, science centers, botanical gardens and more in 80 cities in 28 states and the District of Columbia.
Free general admission is limited to the cardholder. Check out more details or find a location near you at http://museums.bankofamerica.com/ . You can also sign up at that site for text and email alerts to remind you of eligible weekends, or apply for a card.

    This weekend May 1-2 have free admission to museums and zoos. Some new venues have been added, so check for locations near you! There are 54 new museums. A total of 74 cities in 27 states now participate in this program.

    Its the first full weekend of every month. The weekends are posted and a list of museums. Not valid for special exhibits or reservations.

      How come? I'm not really a big fan of BOA but they've always done me right by correcting errors on pay pal and never charge me an overdraft charge when this has happened. Bank transfers are a little slow.

    I think I'll get a Bank of America account, especially if they have additional incentives for opening a new account.

    Last week I signed up for a MB Financial account because they were giving away $150 to new customers.
    Well, not exactly "giving away" but you "earn" it after you make your first 15 transactions. $150 goes right into your account.
    And if you continue to make at least 15 transactions a month, there's never a monthly fee. Awesome!

    I did this a while back with TCF Bank as well.

    If anyone happens to know of any current bank promotions like this, please post them.
