    WikiHow says
In the U.S., it can be easier to end a marriage than to leave a loveless relationship with a cellular company.

When I cancelled my contract with Verizon they charged me a fee of $110 for early termination, my contract was about to expire 3 days later and I didn't pay attention, I didn't like my new company and I went back to Verizon , they didn't charge me the early termination fee but this time they charged me the activation fee, when I asked how much it would cost, they said they couldn't answer that and I should wait until I get the bill in the mail. My recent experience was switching from SprintPCS to Verizon, ordered phones on line for free and requested free activation. Verizon charged $25 activation fee for each phone and the next month upon my request waived the fees. It was a good deal all around.
