When I saw this article I thought it was a joke - http://www.goodhousekeeping.co.....-syndromes
But I also read that Americans are getting rid of their landlines in favor of cell phones only. In fact, 41% of U.S. households are wireless-only, and the percentage among young adults is even higher. http://time.com/2966515/landli.....ll-phones/
Here's a breakdown by age:
66% of those between ages 25-29 are using cellphones exclusively
60% of those aged 30 to 34
53% of those aged 18 to 24
48% of those aged 35 to 44
31% of those aged 45 to 64
14% over 65
Another interesting fact is that 63% of U.S. adults use their phones to go online, according to the Pew Research Center, and cellphone carriers now generate more revenue from data fees than from voice calls.
A great feature for cell phone users that is lacking with landline phones is the ability to get instant emergency weather alerts.
