Apple iTablet and Microsoft Courier: Are Rumored Details Accurate?

submitted on September 30, 2009 by HouTex in "Products / Gadgets"
The latest details released by reliable sources describe the new iTablet as an iPhone OS media player and light communication device. It reportedly has 5-6 times the resolution of an iPod touch or iPhone screen (720p or thereabouts) and 7 times the touchable screen surface area (10.7"). Predicted announcement date: January 2010, release date: May-June 2010.

The secret Microsoft Courier, on the other hand, is believed to be a dual 7-inch screen unit with Wi-fi, GPS and camera built-in. Its fluid Windows 7 interface features an “infinite journal,” where items can be clipped and stored from the web, annotated and highlighted, moved around, and modified with a palette of drawing and design tools. But it doesn't support Windows 7 Apps.

Do you think either of them will ever be released?

That actually looked pretty good. Recent post on http://crunchpadfans.com/ says it has been delayed because of bugs.

CrunchPad is dead (or will be dead soon). There is no way Michael Arrington can compete with Microsoft and Apple

I wanna be an analyst! I would like to stand around and make stuff up about what other people may or may not be making up...

The AppleByte on Cnet was making fun of one for publishing the "device will have a 10" display and a higher resolution then the iPhone or iPod Touch". His comments where something along the lines of "Well I sure hope so! Who the hell would want a 10"+ display with the resolution of a 3" display?".

I'd like to take a few shots at it as well maybe someone will read it and hire me as an analyst.

    Few general to warm up...
    * The sun is brighter when its not cloudy.
    * The ground gets wet when it rains.

    Now onto Apple...
    * The "iTablet" will have tablet like features.
    * The "iTablet" will have an Apple logo.
    * The "iTablet" will either be great or suck, either way it will be overpriced.

Rumors are circulating again about the Apple iTablet.
WhattaDealBlog was right on the mark when he said the iTablet will be overpriced.
