Any racquetball players out there?

submitted on July 13, 2009 by YanBz in "Products / Gadgets"
I have been a tennis player for many years and recently giving racquetball a try. So far so good, I like the action it offers compared to the (relatively) slow game of tennis. I have been playing for a few months now with a borrowed cheap racket but now I figure it is time to buy my own.

Can anyone recommend something versatile for an entry level player? I have my eye on Head i.165, Sport's Authority has it for $80. If I wait till Thursday I could probably have it for $60 with the Friends and Family 25% off coupon ( http://www.buxr.com/deal/sport.....upon_27465 ). Any other ideas?

Went to Sports Authority today, the racquet is $100 in-store and $80 online. They will accept the printable coupon bringing price down to $75 but the online 25% off doesn't work for some reason. Must be in the list of exceptions

I didn't ask but from what I know this is not a common practice. Other stores are doing the same thing. Another interesting part, SportsAuthority doesn't charge tax in IL when you buy online even though they have stores here - very strange.

lucky you, that you don't pay taxes in IL. Here in Cali they tax you just for breathing Big Grin
