Angry Customers Posted Many Valentine's Day Complaints Online About 1-800-Flowers

submitted on February 16, 2015 by HouTex in "Stores / Merchants"
Looks like lots of customers were unhappy with Valentine's Day deliveries from 1-800-Flowers this year! When they get swamped with orders on holidays, I guess there can be more mistakes. Many people posted images on Twitter of what they ordered along with what they actually got. Complaints covered not only flowers, but other items too, even chocolates. Reported problems included everything from broken vases, wilted or moldy flowers, and late deliveries, to gifts that never arrived at all. In some cases, packages were ruined when they were left on doorsteps in subzero temperatures.

i have used them before and only had a MINOR problem one time with wilted flowers. i think it was a few years ago during christmas. i reported it and they sent out a brand new arrangement within hours of my reporting it.

I never order flowers online. Too risky to get a bad product, especially in winter time.

That's terrible! Just terrible. I hope they're taking care of the people they provided such a horrible service to on the holiday.

It happened to me a few years back on my mom's birthday when I sent flowers. They sent the wrong flowers in the wrong container. I complained and they refunded my $$ so not all was lost.

these companies are generally very good about making good on problem deliveries. i have used many of them for out of town deliveries OR for unusual arrangements.
i think you also have to realize that ordering flowers in extreme weather is taking a chance. this is why it is good to have it delivered to their work or home if you know they are going to be there.
