Amazon Prepares for the Next Generation of the Kindle Fire (Poll)

Amazon announced Monday that they are preparing to release a new version of the highly acclaimed Kindle Fire with improvements such as a camera and higher resolution. Amazon even asked developers to make their application ready for the 1280-by-800-pixel resolution. All this and they will not only keep their 7-inch screen but make it lighter and thinner.

    My main concern with Kindle is that the variety of apps in their app store will be more limited than in the main store from Google. At the end of the day any tablet is as good as the apps you are using...

    I went through 3 tablets before I was awaked to the Samsung Galaxy tab 2 ; This is a powerhouse,runs fast on alot of apps and has a ton of preloaded apps like Google Play store and kindle, amazon apps. real nice tablet for a great price! Big Grin

    Here is the tablet I will be buying: Google Nexus 7. The 8GB version is only $199, it runs Jelly Bean, the latest Android OS from Google, has a quad core processor and is backed by the Google's market place.

    I like the tablet races going on now, but I have to say it is a bit overwhelming. With Surface coming from Micro$oft, Kindle Fire from Amazon, and now Google's Nexus upgrade, there is a choice in what you want (Notice no iDevice reference Twisted ). For the price of the Nexus, I may be getting one of those myself. Thanks for sharing!

    Just got word a Furniture/Electronics store I shop at has the 16gb Nexus 7 for $244.99 online and in-store.... Artistic
