Amazon launches Prime Music

submitted on June 12, 2014 by onkarkulkarni in "Member's Lounge", last updated on June 23, 2014 by HouTex
Today, Amazon launched Prime Music for its Prime members with over a million songs and ad-free listening. Another reason to sign up for Prime I guess. Smile With its growing library, it's surely going to give a run for its money to rivals like Spotify and Rdio.

Start listening!

There are plenty of other options there. I have been using Spotify for a while and pretty happy with the song selection and the playback options. My friend has tried the new Amazon music streaming service and he says the selection of albums is very limited.

T-Mobile made music streaming free. No data will be charged.

    That's why I like T-Mobile

See how Prime compares to a few other streaming services in this week's blog post - http://www.buxr.com/blog/2014/.....-worth-it/

Here are the number of songs in the catalog (in millions) and monthly cost for each service.
Pandora is the only one of this group that doesn't offer downloading for offline listening.

When is AT&T coming up with such an offer? They better come up with it sooner.

Nice, I didn't know about it. T-Mobile has made a few innovative policy changes in the past year that I really like. Among them is removal of international roaming charges and cheaper plans when using prepaid phone.

I wonder what changes there will be if the Sprint/T-Mobile merger goes through. I am with Sprint without a contract but if you get all the music with T-Mobile might be worth the wait for a new plan.
