Hot or Not?

Able to end my SPRINT contract after a year without paying ETF.

Spoke to Sprint Executive Support @ (866) 727-0665 and they confirmed that since they increased the ADMIN fee from $0.99 to $1.50 I am eligible to end my contract starting 9/9/2011 until 10/8/2011. During this period I can port my number and it would automatically cancel my account without any ETF. Only dues would be the monthly bill prorated.

Note : you cannot go month to month. Once you avail this option and agree to it - your account will be scheduled to cancel.

Also was able to work out a $50 credit and an extra AIRAVE ( in home cell router) before confirming the above. Let me know if you have any questions.

Just found out that if you port out your number to a different service - people are able to port back in within a few days itself. Am going to be upfront with Sprint and tell them that I am doing all this for a new Galaxy s2 and that they can't really do anything about it. What do you all think ? Better to be upfront and tell them about it - would they mark my account / SSN and prevent me from future lines? I can always ask my wife to open an account in that case , right?

I do too but I want to get the new Galaxy S2 are new customer pricing.

Also talk to them about getting credit. I told them network near my place was spotty and got a $50 credit. This was in addition to the $5 anniversary credit which is available immediately.

Confirmed with Sprint - I have until October 9th to get out my contract without Paying an ETF. Now all I got to do is figure out a way to get the SG S2 or maybe the Nexus Prime / Droid Prime shows up before that.
