AARP and Walgreens have teamed up to provide free health screenings and flu shots. They have nine customized buses traveling 240,000 miles across 48 states, visiting more than 2,000 communities in 300 cities.
No appointment is necessary for the health screenings(worth over $140 per person) and include:
* Total Cholesterol Levels
* Blood Pressure
* Bone Density
* Glucose Levels
* Waist Circumference
* Body Mass Index
Vouchers will be distributed for up to $1 million worth of seasonal flu shots to uninsured individuals across the country. Candidates* who visit a Wellness Tour bus location between September 17 and November 15, 2009 will receive a FREE flu shot voucher.
It's good at any Walgreens pharmacy or Take Care Clinic through November 30, 2009.
*Uninsured patients age 18 and older only. Influenza vaccination applies to seasonal flu shots only (not H1N1). Vouchers distributed in select markets, excluding Puerto Rico, on a first-come, first-serve basis while supplies last. One voucher per person, per bus visit.
