News of another breach, if you use LinkedIn change your password immediately. http://www.latimes.com/busines.....9490.story

from http://www.pcworld.com/article.....nline.html -
Recently, a file containing 6.5 million unique hashed passwords appeared in an online forum based in Russia. More than 200,000 of these passwords have reportedly been cracked so far.

from http://bits.blogs.nytimes.com/.....-now-what/
Cryptography Research, a computer security company in San Francisco, said it appeared that LinkedIn’s user credentials had been compromised because it stored log-in information on its main Web servers instead of isolating those files on separate, secure machines whose only function was to verify log-in details.

LinkedIn is posting updates on their blog at http://blog.linkedin.com/ and Twitter account https://twitter.com/#!/LinkedIn , reporting earlier that they are "looking into reports of stolen passwords."

But according to this update, http://abcnewsradioonline.com/.....tolen.html they now say:
"We can confirm that some of the passwords that were compromised correspond to LinkedIn accounts."

You can use this website to check if your password was leaked:

    Mine was... Cry

I am surprised the folks as LinkedIn, a multi-million dollar company, were storing unsalted hashes of passwords. Even Buxr does a better job at this...
