20 weird food combinations people eat

submitted on August 17, 2010 by DebsFreebies in "Member's Lounge"
OK...sparked by the comment about peanut butter on a hamburger response in an earlier post, I had to post this.

Check out these strange food combos for a little inspiration:

Mashed potatoes and noodles with gravy.
Gravy and biscuits with grape jelly.
Peanut butter and mayo sandwiches.
Chocolate cake with pinto beans.
Hollowed-out pickles filled with ranch dressing and cheese.
Garlic bread topped with peanut butter and spaghetti.
Peanut butter and cucumber sandwiches.
Eggs with Spam and white rice.
Doritos dipped in cream cheese.
Sugar and grits.
Popcorn and mustard.
Pancakes and ketchup.
Frito's and caramel sauce.

About the weirdest I go is peanut butter and bologna Mr Green

What's yours?

I've never heard of any of those. I would eat peanut butter and cucumber though, that doesn't sound bad.

My wife eats nacho cheese doritos and vanilla ice cream. Red Face

My mother always ate Fritos with watermelon. She said the salty taste brought out the sweetness of the melon.

I've had peanut butter and mayo sandwiches with onion. What can I say? I'm a peanut butter freak. Doritos and cream cheese doesn't sound too bad. Doritos and vanilla ice cream? Have to try that some time. Big Grin

OOO I forgot one of my favorite cheap snacks. You can take Buddig beef (that really cheap lunch meat that's thin) and you wrap that around a pickle and some cream cheese. MMMMMMMMMMMM I haven't had it in so long because I forgot about it. Thanks for bringing up this topic!!!!

The only one I can handle out of this list is Doritos (nacho cheese ones, actually) with cream cheese, that's pretty tasty.

I'll have to pass on all the others.

OK, I'm tempted - I think I'd probably like mooncow's idea with the beef-wrapped pickle & cream cheese, too. Must be the cream cheese part that I like.

Pancakes and Ketchup...I'd eat it! I love each separately so I dont think there is a problem with this combo! I'll give it a try this weekend! Artistic
