I bet you knew that Epsom salts were great to use in a nice, warm, relaxing bath to draw toxins from the body and calm the muscles. However, there are many other health benefits and uses for this ingredient. Take a look at some of them:
Soak Sprains and Bruises: Epsom salt reduces the swelling of sprains and bruises. Try adding 2 cups of salt to a warm bath and soak.
Splinter Remover: soak splinter in Epsom salt water to draw it out.
Remove Excess Oil from Hair: add 9 tablespoons of Epsom salt to 1/2 cup of oily hair shampoo. Apply one tablespoon of this mixture to dry hair, then rinse with cold water. Next, pour lemon juice or apple cider vinegar through hair and rinse after 5 or 10 minutes.
Hair Volumizer: combine equal parts Epsom salt and deep conditioner in a pan and warm. Work the warm mixture through your hair and leave on for 20 minutes before rinsing.
