Well, I placed an order for this with the coupons applied at 7:30 this morning. It was just canceled. No one at Dell seems to be able to tell me why. I'm on the phone trying to get the same deal right now. We'll see.

the deal is still valid, but dell is no longer carrying the plain 80gb system. you only have the choice of the console + Far Cry 2 bundle. but, both coupons are still valid. so, the total price will end up being higher, but still less than a reg price console.

Apparently, the 80GB unit was sold out. But I was offered the Far Cry 2 bundle for $399.00 after a $60.00 'instant rebate' for the game. The system would not accept the original 15% and the $60 instant rebate coupon codes. I asked the Customer Service rep if there was anything else she could do (since the 15% coupon would not apply, only the 5%). She went away to talk to her supervisor and came back with a price that was $334.00 pre-tax. I grabbed it! It was delivered yesterday!

Being polite on the phone while they originally researched my canceled order and then when they had the similar deal but at a higher cost really paid off!
