    There is a reason this flashlight on sale. It uses older LED technology. 3 Watt Cree LED's will give you more light with less power consumption.

    But there is a difference in the construction of the flashlights 3w compared to this one. Reading the reviews @Amazon....this seems to be more sturdy, but you were right about the technology.
