Is this considered a duplicate since it is the same coupon code, even though the older post has no expiration date? http://www.buxr.com/deal/15-of.....-com_11296

I think the larger issue should be how to screen out duplicates. If the provided link is the same why isn't the duplicate detected? Sometimes I search before posting but others I rely on the link.

I now what you're saying, but I think I also know why this happens currently. Its easy to isolate a specific item deal page when submitting, but site home-pages can't be screened out the same way because they are linked to multiple times for multiple coupons. Think about woot.com, the url address is always the same even though their item deal changes every day. If you were to use the main page as the filter, then any deal posted after the first would be considered a duplicate even though the deal is different.

I kept the submission because the original deal has no expiration date and id over 30 days old

As far as detecting duplicates is concerned, it is the next thing in my list. We will be re-designing coupon submission and the new process will take care of detecting duplicate past deals.

Add free with rebate to your to-do list. It isn't easy to do a free with rebate deal because you have to enter an original price sale price and then it calculates a price after rebate.

Mods, this coupon is still valid. Can this deal be updated so that the coupon gets listed under the coupons section?

Sure. Do you have an expiration date for it? Coupon codes older than 30 days are not shown in the Coupons page unless there is a known expiration date.
If you don't have the date then I suggest re-submitting it.

I don't have an expiration date for it. I will re-submit it.
