    That older deal has indeed expired, but it is also offered on a frequent basis. (I looked and a recent one just expired yesterday for $3.96) However, I myself will acknowledge this is a better product. It has the original colors that are more pronounced, and the color sections are raised slightly giving a better tactile feel. This in short is the original Rubik's Cube and not a knock-off version.

      5 attempts, average of all but fastest and slowest attempt: 11.48 sec
      blindfold, fastest time (including memorising): 54.22 sec
      blindfold, fastest time (time does not include memorising): 23.06 sec
      one handed: 14.56 sec
      with feet only: 36.94 sec
